Lance
By Rich Kelly, Filed Under Attendee News, Cycling, Events, Exhibitor News, Industry News, Interbike
There are a lot of rumors floating around the show and online universe about Lance Armstrong and his possible appearance at Interbike this year. Here’s a brief rundown:
Yes, Lance will be at the show this year. Following his event with the Clintons in New York earlier today, he hopped on a plane for Las Vegas. He is on the start list and confirmed for the CrossVegas event this evening. I got a call early this moring from Brook Watts the promoter of CrossVegas with the confirmation from Lance’s agent that he was definitely racing. Shuttles are provided from the Sands for badged show attendees and exhibitors.
On Thursday morning at 9am he will be holding a press only event in one of the Venetian ballrooms adjacent to the show halls. Yes, it is a media-only event. If you are not media and have some tie (legitimate or otherwise) to Lance that you feel necessitates your attendance, please ask his people for permission. Thanks.
At this point, I’m not sure what his plans are for after his press conference.
Hope you’re enjoying the show so far!

Hi. A lot of us cycling fans watched Lance’s New York press conference and would love to watch the one in Vegas as well. Will anyone be streaming it live online? Cheers. John
I have a question for Lance Armstrong:
What is a healthy stance about riding a bicycle at night with bicycle specific lights and lamps?
Yes I saw Lance at Interbike. I didn’t get a Chance to get his autograph though. I did get a chance to speak loudly over the crowd and speak at him within at least 10 feet twice that day to thank him for the Lance Armstrong Foundation. That it helped me when I needed it.
