I had a bad snowboarding crash back in college that almost separated my lower leg from the upper. I figured that I loved cycling a whole lot more than skiing and shouldn't risk a permanent injury. Before moving to SoCal I did enjoy snowshoeing and cross country skiing, though. Actually, to save my knees for cycling I don’t ski or snowboard anymore.
